I'm 19 years old. i found this lump in my boob a couple weeks back, i went to the doctor and he suggested i get it surgically removed. there is a history of lumpy boobs in my family(non cancerous) so im not too worried i jus wanted to know if there is any1 else who has had a similar operation and how long they were in the OR, they recovery time and how painful it was. if any1 has any insight on my issue please answer

It could be a collection of fiberous material that bind together causing lumps. Studies have found that this is non cancerous and no cancer cells were present in these growths as you would call them.

Um, I had this same thing to. The doctor told me that it was buds and that my breast were still growing. I am 19 also so I am in the same boat as you. But if a doctor told you to get it removed i would get a second opinion because breast cancer in our age group isn't very likely.
