Sure, women are different but getting the right one allows a man (and hopefully the woman) to open up and fully live. I love my guy friends to do things with & talk. But I also love how a woman will talk about almost anything. And how they approach things etc.
So...what's the deal? Is this just an old saying? What do you think?

A women can do things for you in a way that a dog just can't. For one she can have dinner with you, cook for you, and speak your same language. She is all warm in bed, and also has same human makeup, except female. Dogs can be less complicated though. Women is mans best friend!!!

Well dogs unfortunately do have women beat as man's best friend. I do appreciate the women friends that I am not involved with, I can talk to them about most anything.

Well a dog can be a mans best friend if he has no other friends that is true. But a dog can never take the place of a good wife.

A dogs moods are probably more stable than a woman's moods. So the answer may be that it depends on the day. Years ago I did not have either a dog or a woman, now I have both, and it is nice to have them to come home to.

My new husband of two years beats any best gf I've ever had! He even agrees with me, we are soooo opposite that we have become two peas in a pod..as the saying goes. Haha...anyway, I believe it, because I'm living it!

My ex told me his dog was a better companion to him than me once. I told him when he follows me around with a pooper scooper and the dog can cook and do laundry, have sex with him then I'll start taking notes.
