"28 Days Later", not strictly in the horror genre.
But it was horror-ifying.
Exorcist, Shining, Dracula, are all so passe.

I love horror movies, and have a large collection of them. "Wrong Turn" is a good one, but if you watch it you will need to see "The Hills Have Eyes" the new version(unrated). Also classic horror films such as "Poltergist" - "Scream" - "Texas ChainSaw Massacer"(old and new). And a must see also is "Thirteen Ghosts"-------Hope that helps.

Evil Dead II. Not Evil Dead I, which is not as good and not Army of Darkness which is more comedy than horror. Evil Dead II. Still ranks number one with me.

Dawn of The Dead (the recent one)
You really gotta see it if you like scary movies

The Hill Have Eyes (the older one)

BLAIR WITCH PROJECT (first only)

in that order
