I usually used soap to wash my face and a month ago my mother bought me a face wash "Nivea for men". Its a facial cleanser right? I've been keep on using that for about one month now. But to my surprise, my face has more pimples than the time I didn't use that face wash. What's wrong? should I go back to soap instead?

no u should go back to using soaps. soap will dry ur skin. u can switch ur face wash though. use johnson's face wash or neutrogena. but i think the pimples r probably due to hormones coz face washes don't really make people breakout.

Sometimes when we use something else on our face it causes pimples to break out. If soap was working for you in the past then i suggest you stick to that instead. Obviously Nivea isn't suited to your skin. & anyway soap is cheaper. Stick with it!

According to my sister, who is an esthetician, your skin is probably reacting to a change in face wash. She once told me that truly there is no solution to a good face wash without spending money, but maybe you should try going back to soap. Try a mild soap so it doesn't destroy your skin and don't forget to wear sunscreen everyday.

are you sure its a facial cleanser? is it a cream based one? you should go back to using soap and water its more natural, all those brands have loads of added crap in them and are more harsh on your skin.
make sure you use a light moisturizer after washing though because soap can be really drying

i don't like nivea much -- tell your mom to get nutregena and it doesn't have to be "for men" -- they usually just put a more manly fragrance in it and make the packaging gray or blue or something. there are lots of acne medications -- but remember having acne isn't a because your face needs cleaning -- teens have the cleanest faces on the planet!

There are different types of face wash, like for oily skin & sensative skin.......make sure you use the right one. My fella used the wrong one, & he came out with a few spots!!
