Because one slimeball, who happens to be Republican, may be guilty of sexual misconduct, does it make any sense that the entire Republican Party is somehow guilty of something? Are the Democrats so devoid of ideas and direction that this will be their focal point going into the mid-term elections?

All the Democrats have done is point out that the Republican leadership knew about this "slimeball" almost a year ago and did nothing about it. That's kind of messed up on the leadership's part - and it's right of the Democrats to point this out.

Are you so devoid of brain-power that you think that the leadership has no obligation to get rid of a sicko like Foley on their own and not let him hang around for another year? The guy should have been kicked out of the party long ago, but instead the moron Republicans allowed the issue to stew until right before the election... so now his name stays on the ballot. Way to go Republicans! You've really helped my party out.

Because, They needed an "October Suprise"
Not that it is going to hurt or help their chances at all.
The national party and many people forget that all congressional races are local races, and are won or lost on the merits of the local canidate. The only race this truly has any effect on is the seat in Florida, and It will go more easily to the Unknown Democrat. Instead of the Replacement canidate that has only 5 weeks to get himself known and on the ballot.

Some people in his own party knew of his inappropriate communication with the young man and did nothing except cover for him. People in the party are mad because it doesn't reflect well on the guys who went after Clinton over oral sex with an intern when this one little thing tops it majorly. I think people need to climb down off their high horses and realise the whole of US government is corrupt. Not just one party or another, buall of them.

Yes, they are that devoid of ideas. They have not platform, no plan, and no-one with the stature to run . Read the crap posted on this site. Their idea of political debate is to accuse the Pres of treason while blowing off Kennedy's conspiracy to make Democrats out of the population of Mexico.

That is politics. Hell, I am a Democrat, and even I know that Foley's actions do not reflect on all the members of the GOP; each one of them can find a way to discredit themselves as individual Republicans, we don't need to paint them all with the Foley brush.

The Dems are just pionting out the hipocritical nature of Republicans like Bush who claims to be a devout christian but is caught on tv cursing or flipping a bird. He was a "champion of child protection but doing stuff like this.

because, as much as they like to say that Republicans are closed-minded individuals, they do the same thing. Anything to try and make their party look better. It's politics !!! Someone is always trying to make someone else look bad.

Since Republicans are destroying the country, we have to get them ALL out of office, by any means necessary. The ends justify the means.
