No, not cool.
I understand where you're coming from, believe me, but maybe we've forgotten how Ricky used to berate Lucy and spank her!
But don't get me wrong, I definitely don't enjoy seeing men getting abused.
For example, my favorite show of all time is Roseanne.
In the early years I LOVED the banter between Dan & Roseanne and enjoyed the way they played/joked around with each other.
All of a sudden one season Roseanne just got plain old mean! She was constantly scolding Dan, talking down to him and making comments like he was worthless (she made sooo many refrences during the last few seasons about what a uninvolved husband and father he was) and beating him down in arguments by being TOTALLY irrational to the point that he would just HAVE TO surrender or get it worse!
THAT was definitely NOT FAIR AT ALL!!!
