Taj Mahal is in Agra which is about 100-200 mls south of Delhi. Be a tourist and get on one of the motorscooters and tour the place. I hope you are a person with nerves of steel. The motor traffic moves at a crazy and dizzying pace. You can look up this webpage. It is chockful of useful tips. Enjoy your trip. Do make a trip to Agra. The Taj Mahal is awesome. visit Jantar-Mantar,Red Fort,India Gate,Indra Gandhi's residence open for all(check timings b4 going), Indian Parliament.
Taj Mahal you planned already, don't forget to buy Agra Petha a very famous and delicious sweet.
You can also visit India's No.1 city Chandigarh- a nice city,well planned, many places where you can visit like Rock Garden,Rose Garden,Pinjore Garden, Chatbeed,..........
