NO IT IS NOT!! Babies do not understand being spoiled at this age, they are only looking for comfort and closeness, to remind them of the home that they were in (the womb). They really can not be spoiled and the more you pick them up the better, i have a 7 month old, and i pick her up all the time, but she still has her own life too, as an adventurer (she just started to crawl). So, no you cn not spoil him, just love him and hold him. Enjoy it while you can, soon he'll be talking back! LOL! Good luck!

Can You Spoil A Baby

Many people will tell you different things. But generally you should do what you feel is right. Use your instincts. Children that old usually feels more secure in their parents arms, and they learn that very quickly. They will cry only if something is wrong => hungry, wet nappy, feels uncomfortable (that's include insecurity).

Holding baby too much can also be hard for you too, especially when he becomes heavier. So you should also think of your health => if your not healthy then you won;t be able to care for your child properly.

See a mid-wife or anti-natal nurse for advise.

Newborn babies are mechanical marvels. If your baby only "requires" three hours of comfort per day I would say that you have a very content baby. An infant of three weekis is still basically running on instinct (nature). The care (nurture) a parent gives an infant during times of distress (rocking, cooing, carressing) is what your baby derives its sense of security from. You must be doing something right.

No, holding a baby isn't what spoils them. Running to them immediately when they just whimper spoils the baby and creates a monster of a child when it gets old enough to make demands.
Hold your baby as long as you can because one day you'll turn around and your baby will be grown!

Hold him as much as you can!!!
You can't spoil a baby, a toddler maybe but a babies needs right now are
To feel safe
To feel loved
To be changed
To be fed
To be burped
To be bathed.

You can't give a baby too much of those things. This is the BEST stage right now hold that little one as much as you can!
Congratulations on your new little one :)

Hugging and holding your child is not spoiling it's loving... no you can not spoil him by holding him, as long as you can set him down when need be without him demanding to be in your arms again you are not holding him too much... Enjoy him now a time will soon come when he is too busy running and playing to stop and hug you...

Hold the baby as much as you like, as much as you can. They are precious and won't be spoiled by holding.

They get spoiled at two years old by being allowed to have their way and bully people.

Love that baby a lot!

You can never hold a newborn baby too much.Communicating with a newborn is really a matter of meeting his or her needs. Always respond to your newborn's cries - he or she cannot be spoiled with too much attention. Your prompt response when your baby communicates will let your baby know that he or she is important and worthy of attention.

I think not. He will never need you this much this close ever. A three months old baby has limited mobility. Everything we do he needs to learn (sitting, turning, standing, walking,...) However it can be hard on your lower back. So, make sure you stretch regularly. Ah, they grow up so fast.
