In politics you have to remember one thing. One single thing when deciding where to cast your vote. It's quite easy to remember and should never be forgotten once you fully understand politics.

THEY ARE ALL LIARS. ALL OF THEM. NOT ONE AMONG THEM WHO IS AFTER YOUR INTERESTS. THEY ARE ALL IN THE BUSINESS OF FEATHERING THEIR OWN NESTS.

LIARS AND CHEATS. DON'T TRUST ANY OF THEM.

All politicians without exception, when seeking office, [your vote], will make a speech in which they will say they're going to get tough on crime and bring the crime rate down. Our prisons are full to bursting and the prison service is now looking for an extra 8,000 places. So, in light of this, I guess the gov have been tough on crime - at any rate, they have banged up a lot of people.

This is a tough question if it isn't a rhetorical one. "Tough on crime" in Bush's era translates to mean tough on the young and disenfranchised as/ well as capitalism run amok by the real criminals who privatize the jails . This leads to overcrowding, an unnatural tendency toward violence, and disregard for life. These unfortunate prisoners learn and suffer under a debased form of callousness hard to image only ten year's ago.

Vote and keep up the faith. I would like to hear some of your views on this subject.

Thanks, GM

That's for sure...but it usually does it's job - scare the socio-economic ABC1's into spending more money on security, as the police has basically given up.
