why shouldn't we at least insist we invade a tropical location.

Because that would be too nice a location. And you know bush insists that he keep the troops as miserable as possible. It's the only control he has and he exercises it whenever possible.

pretty soon there wont be any troops to support....
you see at any given time, one of these countries that are fine president has chose to invade, is going to attack the usa...
all of our troops are going to be in other countries...
so what better time to attack the usa then now...
No.. I do not want it to happen.... and it scares me..... so forget the tropics and bring our troops home to support our own country.

If we want to support our troops than we should ensure that we are not sending them to a situation where many of them will die for nothing. Iraq is getting worst and it has created more Terrorism rather than stopping it. Iraq had no Weapons of Mass Destruction. All the Bush Administrations reasons for invading Iraq have been proven false, and most of them were criticized by our intelligence agencies prior to our invasion. So I can't see a way to dishonor our troops more than sending them to Iraq did.
