Go to the store and get body butter with a high fat content. Shea butter is good. Slather it on twice a day. Stay out of the sun. Eat lots of food with vitamin K and E. If you body is not getting enough vitamins you will get stretch marks although sometimes it is in the genes.

There really isn't anything you can do. Creams and lotions treat the skin on the outside of your body. Stretch marks are actually tears on the inside from your body growing and expanding too fast without it having time to adequately adjust. Watching your weight and making sure you don't gain too much too quick is probably the only thing you can do, and even then I'd say your results are limited. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Best wishes and good health.

Get rid of Stretch Marks?

It depends on if the stretch marks is due to pregnancy or general weight gain. If it's caused by pregnancy, rub plain olive oil on the abdomen in the morning and before going to bed. I did it faithfully the whole 8 months of my pregnancy, and I have NO stretch marks.

There isn't any way to prevent them. You will either get them or you won't.

Some women swear by taking vitamin E supplements.

I used Palmer's cocoa butter lotion and only got stretch marks on my rear end, and I've been pregnant 5 times. (I have one child of my own, and was a surrogate mother the other times.)

But, I know women who have used Palmer's and still got stretch marks.

Best of luck.

I don't think you can prevent it...some people have skin that does not have many stretch marks. I used all the lotions and creams to prevent stretch marks during my pregnancy...I have the worse stretch marks you have ever seen.

i dont really believe their is a way to prevent them it has to do with your skins elacticity. i used absolutly nothing and itched the crap out of my stomach when i was pregnant and i didnt get any stretch marks what so ever not even faint ones but my friend used all sorts of creams and lotions and she got the deep ones that look like she got clawed by a bear. it may be hereditary my mom had 5 kids and has no stretch marks?? so my opinion dont waiste money on special creams just keep it moisterized and if you get them they fade over time and tanning helps fade them out to

You select the right mother.

If your mother had stretch marks, you are likely to as well. It is to do with the type of collagen you have in your skin.
