Assuming this is a Yahoo league, I would actually use Colston as your #2 WR and get rid of Vinatieri as he can't get on the field and a kicker with bad legs is useless. Other then that, you have a top 5 QB, 2 top 10 RB's in Portis and Jones, a decent WR corps (could be a bit stronger, but not bad); the best TE (not statistically, but that is his QB's fault, not his), and a couple good D/ST's,
Even if you didn't say anything about the 3-1 record, I would imagine your team would be very solid.

Here is what I would try...try and trade either Joey Galloway or Eddie Kennison for Jerricho Cotchery from the Jets. He is coming on quick and maybe just maybe the guy who has him has a good WR corp or doesnt realize his potential and will take one of the two WR's for him. Cotchery has 18 rec. 284 yds and 3 TD's this season (on pace for 72 rec. 1136 yds and 12 TD's). He is a solid #2 guy to L. Coles and with Pennington, who is a top 3 QB as far as accuracy, throwing to him he is a safe bet to get some balls his way and get some yards/TD's. On the other hand, Kennison will have Huard for a few more games and even when Trent comes back who knows how he is gonna be after a big time injury like that. Galloway will have Bruce Gradkowski throwing to him from now on and I do think Bruce is better than Simms he is still a #2 QB on the depth chart which hurts Galloways chances of having a big season, especially with that bad all around offense of theirs.
Other than that, you have 2 top 10 QB's (Carr is the most accurate QB this year and has the highest passer rating, and if he had any kind of team he'd be that much better), 3 solid RB's and a good backup guy, good receivers especially if you can get Cotchery if not they are still not bad with Wayne, Moulds, and Bryant, 2 awesome TE's, 2 fairly solid D's especially the Chargers, and a very good kicker when he gets back in...
If you want as well try and get M. Jones-Drew as a backup RB, he is a solid addition who has proven to be an awesome backup to Fred Taylor both catching and rushing the ball. He is a threat each and every week and if someone goes down (JJ is prone to injury, and you have the backup of a guy that is a starter so you couldnt start Betts in JJ's spot, and Lewis gets hurt some as well) he could fill in nicely for the time being.

Well, if you're talking about adding as in picking anybody up, you've got a pretty decent lineup altogether... Eli's an every-week starter, RBs are set... you somehow got Gates and Colston which is excellent. The only thing I could think of to improve your roster would be to try and get a more solid number 3 WR... Wayne and Bryant are good, but maybe if you tried trading Jamal Lewis and one of your bench WRs to a desperate 0-4 or 1-3 team for a quality number 1 WR like a Hines Ward or Derrick Mason or Drew Bennett. Or, Colston's probably eligible at WR in your league too, so starting Wayne, Bryant, and Colston every week isn't too shabby... but dealing Lewis and a bench WR for a better WR would be most helpful to your roster at this point. And Vinatieri has had injury issues, so if in any week you hear he might be out, you'd have to pick up a kicker... but they're a dime a dozen. It's a pretty solid looking roster right now though... you could upgrade Carr with someone like Kitna (who's team is behind all the time) or Charlie Frye (young but talented and has the ability to throw and run for TDs).

Nice team for a league of 6 or 8. Great team for a 10 or 12 deep league.
You might be a little shallow at RB. It's not unimaginable that Clintonius' shoulder acts up (even with the Betts' handcuff), and Julius draws a bad defensive opponent, say, anyone in the NFC South... (all of whom the 'Boys have yet to play!) Worse, Marion Barber's already stealing some of Julius' red zone action. Who ya gonna call? Jamal?! Even before they lost OG Mulitalo for the season he wasn't giving owners much love. Consider a Moulds plus Jamal for a RB upgrade.
Then, consider trading Vinateri, or dropping your backup DST for a backup K. Conventional wisdom says there are few kickers who outdistance the rest of the pack, but that doesn't mean they're not important. Vinateri's too much of a "game time call" right now for my comfort. If he's available in your league, consider Josh Brown (Sea). He's indoors or in balmy climes almost the rest of the year, and his offense is now a stall-prone throwin' machine, at least until Shaun's back on track.
-Regards!

WR's look like your week spot.
I'm not really sure what would be the course of action though...
It'd be nice to maybe dangle Jamal Lewis out there and see if someone will pick him and Wayne or Bryant up for a #1 receiver, and maybe a decent running back (not all-star).
Eli should put up points now that bye week is done, Carr could be someone you look at moving, his fantasy numbers are pretty good and might be enough to get someone to bite.
