Spicy and acidic food giving you the burning in your breastbone sounds like Reflux or Indigestion - see the wiki page on GERD

The gas is a usual result of carbonated drinks (ie soda). Stop drinking those and try water, fruit juices and tea.

A sensitivity reaction is not as severe or intense as an intolerance reaction. These are found with allergies. Soda is carbonated and carbonation puts CO2 in your stomach. But your reaction seems more than the usual. This is not a diagnosis, but your response to spicy and acidic foods suggests acid reflux. That would explain the soda reaction, too. This is neither a sensitivity nor an intolerance in the usual sense of the words. It's a condition. You can try: 1. Using an OTC antacid and see if that helps, 2. Avoiding soda and spicy/acidic food & drinks, 3. Seeing your health care provider who may advise a modification in diet and wish to prescribe a proton pump inhibitor.

Have you thought of the possibility that you may have an ulcer or even acid reflux?Soda is acidic and spicy foods often irritate people with ulcers or acid reflux. Go see your Doc. and let him/ her do a quick exam. Then you can get any needed treatment.
