1960=the 60's and then 70's and so on.what is this?
and are we gonna say it's the 20's in the year 2020?

I always say it's the 21st century. There are less than 10 of them so far so it's got even more precision than citing a decade. And it has kind of a grand, futuristic sort of ring to it, don't you think?

ie to my ludite cousin last week "C'mon, it's the 21st century, you've GOT to learn how to use email"

not really sure, when it was 1904 or something like that, they just referred to that thyme as the early 1900's, maybe it will be referred to as the early 2000's later?
