Micorhizae the Biofertilizer
Helping plants to help themselves, mycorrhizal fungi promote plant growth and reduce fertilizer dependence. "Amazing Growth Naturally" in years past would have been considered an oximoron. This apparent contradiction was due primarily to the fact that natural supplements had the stigma of not producing the type of fast growth that chemicals seemed to produce.

bio fertilisers are those which increase the growth of plant , production and yield just by the inoculation of the microorganisms. among those mycorhizae are the one they are fungi and they are found associated with the vascular plants depending on the position of these mycorhizae they are of three types they are
1 ectomycorhizae- they are found associated with the outer surface of the rooot i.e; with the root hair
2 endomycorhizae- they are found associated with the cortical cells present in the root(cortex)
3 ectendo mycorhizae- they are present both on the surface and also in the cortical cells
these mycorhizae are also known as the VAM fugi(vesicular and arbuscular mycorhizae) as they are known to form the vesicles and arbuscles but now recently they are known as AM fungi only as every mycorhizae forms arbuscles and the vesicle formation is not mandatory.
the mycorrhizae are known to increase the uptake of phosphate ions by the plants and they help in increase of growth of the plant and in the production and in increasing the resistance against pests. they are majorly found to increase the production of potato soya bean , wheat, red gram and jowar
