I wash mine like once or twice a week and i have had it for almost 3 years and it is in good shape still. I have a towel like one and one made out of fleece probly about the same age and i wash them the same amount and they are still in good condition.

if you do not like doing all that washing then buy 3 which are made of a soft 100% acrylic, and switch,um off daily hanging them inside out on the off days. I have always had a nice light smelling body so if I do this then I can just wash um when there is a smell and they never wear out, just need to get out the dead skin. Bacteria can not grow on the plastic and oxygen nation will kill most if exposed for 24 hours, then too I mostly just wear shorts.

Just once is fine - if it is cotton that should be fine.. it does depend on the material cause some absorb and dry quicker than others so you can go without washing a bit longer like terry,etc..
Once it perfect. But - should not fall apart if you wash it twice -

It depends on the material. I usually wash my regular every day robe about twice a month, since it really doesn't get dirty that much. But I do think washing your robe twice a week will break down the material faster.

I do mine, once a week. Yes the threads will wear down alot quicker with alot of washing. Besides, how dirty can it get? I put mine on after a shower or upon rising from bed. (Unless I'm hangin' out all day in it!lol)

Say you bathe once a day, I'd say wash your bathrobe three times a month...

I rather buy a new one every so often. Do wash it as much as you can.
There's lots of bacteria in your shower, and when you bathe, you're getting a mist of them on you.
Currently I'm working on some bacteria that grow on shower curtains that resist chlorination and feed of alcohols (like those present in bath and shower products) these are usually harmless unless you have a disease that makes ur immune system weak such as diabetes or HIV.

you know.......some of them do fall apart really easily. depends on the fabric.....how sturdy it is and how well it is sewn. you might want to wash it less if you are concerned. or just do a gentle cycle.
