Gone with the wind is known as the most romantic novel ever but according to me pick out any book of this author Denise Robins( She was a mid-20th century british author) and you will go crazy. Especially the one called" THe Wild Bird".

I can't remember the authors name but the "Outlander" series is excellent!! It's a trilogy that is good from start to finish. I couldn't wait to get the next book every time i finshed one! It's an historic romance that involves a woman getting drawn back in time by a celtic ruin. The author is detailed and the historic, medical, etc. facts in the books are real, lending them a true story kinda feel. A modern woman,a huge gorgeous celtic bad boy, set in the...1700's i think. Great Story,Great story telling!

Anything by the Bronte sisters, and I agree with the first aswer. 100 Years of Solitude is the best love story I have ever read.
