Yes it sure can! One thing that can come back to bite is arthritis. Years after a injury to about any bony area. It tends to flare up during bad weather; like the rule of arthritic people say. There is medicine you can take for this. You doctor would be glad to check on this and give you a Rx.

It could still be from the previous injury. If you did not go to a dr. then, I would go now, it could have been fractured. If it was, then it could be getting fractured over and over due to continuous strain and sitting for long periods of time. I say regardless go and get it checked, I know it may be embarrassing to go to the dr. and say, hey I need you to check my butt, but if it is a serious injury, it could get worse and lead to more problems down the road such as arthritis and things like that! Trust me I know, when I was just 8 years old, my brother and 2 sisters always used to beat me up. One time they kicked my leg so hard that I had to see a dr., the dr. said that the ligament was torn, that was sooooooooooo painful. But what is worse now, when I was just 10 years old, they diagnosed me with arthritis in my knee due to the injury to the ligament 2 years prior. Now every winter really sucks because the cold really does a number for me and when I sit for long periods of time withthe knees bent, it really gets stiff and I can hardly stand to move it. I am only 26 years old now, but i really have not gotton used to this arthritis, though I know what to expect, I can't say that it is really enjoyable, it is painful! Please, get it checked. Thanks for letting me share and good luck!

It is very likely that you fractured your tail bone when you fell. Sometimes these fractures do not heal properly especially if not treated at the time of injury. But you really do need to see your doctor about it. Only a Doctor can give you a proper diagnosis. And treatment.

Tailbone injuries can cause discomfort for the rest of your life. I injured my tailbone riding down a river on an innertube in 1980 and it still occasionally hurts today. I wish I had better news but I don't.
