The import of used car in India is restricted and as per Foreign Trade Policy; it is allowed only by persons coming on transfer of residence and it should be right hand steering etc..
More interesting thing is that even in such cases importer has to pay full customs duty whereas in case of import of new cars - concessional customs duty is applicable. You are, therefore, advised not to import the car.rather you can buy the car in India as several Big Cars are being manufactured here.

Well the cost of the car will be as under
1.Cost in pounds sterling + 120% import tax+freight or shipment charges+documentation chrages (nominal).

This will be your costing, I think u must talk to cargo clearing agents as they hv contact & can speed up the matter for you.
