Eddie Murphy is hilarious!! In my opinion he's a hell of a lot funnier than Richard Pryor.

Eddie Murphy is but never forget, Richard Pryor was the original adult comediennce that broke the barriers, his material was groundbreaking real to the heart, life experience growing up. I like them both, Eddie has a little edge over Richard.

As funny as Eddie Murphy can be at times, he does not come close to Richard Pryor in terms comedic inventiveness and pinpoint satiric accuracy.
Eddie may be a better actor, but is not the comedian that Richard was.
