Does any one know good ones to help make like cartoons?
Maybe one that shows the previous frame faded out so you can trade over it or such... idk.. anything really.

U can use many animation softwares such as
-Macromedia Swish
-Macromedia Director MX
-Macromedia Flash
-Shockwave
Swish and Director MX are quite easy to learn especially for simple animations..u can learn from the help documentation or try-and-error.
U cann have trial download of these software from:
http://www.adobe.com/downloads/

Use Imageready that comes bundled with Photoshop, its a real great program that you cant get bored with

My son has an animation class in high school and they use Lightwave.
