LT Dan, they just discussed this on Hannity and Colmes tonight, and the democratic strategist and Alan himself were saying the same thing, that they are not getting all crazy over it cause they have had it in their party. Why can't the crazies on here leave it be as well... it is extremely hypocritical. It doesn't make it okay no matter what political party you are in, so quit pointing fingers already!

It's kind of funny how they jump all over you for this question. Obviously, they don't know anything about historical political leaders.
It isn't that the Democrats have had a lot of pedophilia, though they have had some. It's the other scandals:
Willy Horton and Michael Dukakis: You know, where Dukakis released a CONVICTED MURDERER from prison on furlough, and the guy went and tortured a guy and raped the guy's fiance for hours?
Clinton, and I'm not talking about the scandal with Monica. I'm talking about the accusations of SEXUAL HARASSMENT and RAPE, which were downplayed by the Democratic party. That's not consensual sex, nor is it emails.
Gerry Studds, Brian Doyle, Barney Frank, Jim McGreevey, Fredrick Richmond, Neil Goldschmidt, David Giles, Allen Turner Howe, and Joseph Waggoner: All Democrats. All fall into the category of sexual deviance.
Ted Kennedy, whose philandering got a young woman KILLED...and yet he's still a senator. Oh sure, perhaps the affair was consensual, but I'm sure she didn't CONSENT to drowning, and I'm also sure that an innocent man would have called the police THEN his lawyer, not vice versa.
Perhaps the scandal with Foley should only illustrate that Democrats and Republicans have one thing in common: They're human. Sometimes humans do reprehensible things. It doesn't make the entire Republican party or the entire Democratic party evil. There are many Democrats whom I have the utmost respect for. Same with the Republicans.
The reason the left bash so much, and this is sad but true:
Because they don't think they have to be open-minded or fair. They expect the conservative Republicans to be open-minded and fair, but they don't hold themselves to the same standard, not really.
Clinton was just another in a long line of philanderers and sexual deviants. Is it any wonder that the right jump all over him? About all the Democratic party have offered us, since after Truman (who was amazing!), IS sexual deviants and philanderers. Sure, there are many good ones, but they sure do have a lot of scandals.

One thing to clarify, the left doesn't necessarily equal to a Democrat, as right doesn't necessarily equal to a Republican.
Regardless, political parties have been bashing each other for centuries.
Having said that, the Republicans aren't bashing Foley because he's one of their own. Especially because the midterm election is a month away, while the Democrats are playing this up so that they can win more seats, the Republicans are playing it down so keep the seats. If Foley was a Democrat, the Republicans would do exactly the same.

We are not bashing Foley. At least no more than he deserves. The point here is the 5-year cover-up by the Repulican Party, making it plain once again that they will put Party before anything else, including in this case the safety of minors. And this gem was leaked at just the right time to get the news of Rice and Tennant's little lapses in testimony to the 911 Commission off the front pages. Those ones concerning yet more warnings about the attacks that were ignored. After all that might lead people to conclude that if this administration was in any way competent the 911 attacks could have been prevented.

name one. Barney Frank had an affair but it was with an adult. Doesn't the hyprocisy ever become too much? He was on the committee to help abused children. His e-mails were to children as defined by the law. What do you believe in?

I am not going to blame the entire republican party for the actions of a few. I think what he was doing was wrong. I think it was wrong for people to allow this to go on and do nothing. They should be punished regardless of politics or power. Peace.
