Okay I have all the positive qualities of a alcohol and drug counselor but what are the negative ones....does not make sense to me....help!!

Says their life is worse than yours.
Forgets your information session to session
Has a tag line that they use endlessly
Has trouble with their own sobriety
Denies other addictions
Makes excuses for you instead of confronting you

Gives u advice on ur life when his/hers is no different
Asks how u r feelin when if u felt ok u would not be there
Says evryone goes thru these things (hello ppl react differently)
They beat around the bush rather than getting straight the point (only because they charge by the hour)
Tries to confort u when really they make the situation worse by bringing up what u've jsut dealt with and gotten over

well, this is a shot in the dark, but what if they are projecting their feelings onto you, not really listening to what you are saying, do not understand yur values base, make judgements on your personal history, try to turn you to religion when you arent interested...is this what you were looking for?
