For gosh sakes, she's a gynecologist! She's seen it all! Don't worry about that, and don't try to hide anything from her. She needs to know your history in order to treat you properly.

She won't be able to tell if you are a vigin or not. It really doesn't matter the length of time since you've had sex. You can break your hymen from using tampons, I broke mine when I was 7 or 8 stretching in gymnastics...there are many ways that it could break. Best policy is to be honest...if she's good, she'll test you for STDs, and other sexually related things regardless of what you say. Good luck

It is not difficult for a doctor to determine if a woman is a virgin. He cannot, however, determine if someone who lost her virginity over a year ago and has abstained form sex for over a year. In ether case it should not influence menstruation, and the doctor probably will not bring the subject up.

Yes, the doctor can tell if you are a virgin or not. They can also tell if you are not sexually active, if during your exam the doctor uses a regular size speculum ( tool to open vagina) and you feel pain, you need to tell him/ her that you have not had sex in over a year and to use a smaller speculum. The vagina does tighten when there is lack of sex, but the hymen ( what makes us a virgin) never grows back. Hope this info. helps.

I don't think she will say that to you, but she may ask you questions so she will have a better understanding about your body. She will know it if you are a virgin or not, and I'm sure she will only keep it to herself because it probably won't has anything to do with your menstrual problems. And if she ask, there's nothing too shame to answer her because it's confidential anyway and it's women to women talk.

If you had sex before even after a year of abstaining, your virginity will not " grow" back dear heart. You loose it only once and it's goodbye "Charlie ! " Smile. Your question shows insecurity dear Heart. Have you played with fire ?.. Please do not be offended. I'm not judging you. You seem kind of worried and I'm trying to humour you a bit.

Good luck in whatever the results are.

how could you possibly be a virgin after having had sex in the past!?!?!?! listen, you're not a virgin, you will never again be a virgin, they won't "find" you to be a virgin nor will they care when they do your exam. if ignorance is bliss you must be a very very happy woman. :)

Do you think whether or not you are a virgin is going to affect how your doctor is going to treat you? You are not the only one out there who hasn't had sex, there are many just like you, and I doubt that will stop them from going to the doctor.
