this guy is my best friend. would it be a social no-no if i asked his younger sister to the formal?
is this ok, or should i stay away?

I would go talk to your best friend before asking the younger sister. Older siblings are often protective of the young ones.

man, iuf he's your best friend, he should trust you and this shouldn't be an issue. If you have enough of a relationship with her, asking her shouldn't be that hard. Based on your question, i think the relationship with her might be the problem...does she know you are interested? Does she seem receptive?

let's say for a moment that asking her is ok, but groping her is a no-no. what happens when she gets pissed at you for not groping her?
dude, all round too complicated unless you really want to go the distance with her. sincerely, I mean.

that depends on your best friend. if he really is then he should trust you to do that. and to ask him first. whatever you do don't ask her w/o asking him first.
