Buy some Stabil (NAPA) and put the correct measured amount into a FULL gas tank. Prevents condensation and moisture.
Buy a spray can of engine fogger from your marine dealer. Start the motor and shoot the fogger into the air inlet . Rev the motor up and shoot enough so that it stalls.
Store the motor standing up . Change the lube in the shaft. Storing the motor standing up keeps fresh lube in contact with the seal and keeps it from drying out.
Change the spark plugs in the spring when you are ready to roll.

Hello, DONT RUN IT OUT OF GAS. The best thing is to take it to a shop and have it fogged!!!!!!
