So you believe in forgiveness? What if somebody raped and killed your child, you wouldn't forgive them then, would you? Would you forgive Hitler? You hypocrites just do whatever the hell you want and expect to be forgiven.

Religion.

I am a christian. And one thing I struggle with is forgiveness. Honestly if someone did something like that to any of my children

No I can't forgive them. Now I know I should forgive them as God forgave me . But I am not prefect I am not JESUS and for me to say I would forgive someone for that would be a lie. I have a VERY hard time forgiving people just for the little things they do. Do I believe in forgiveness YES. God can forgive but as far as me forgiving nope probably never gonna happen.

You think you know everything, right? Being a Christian does not mean that we do whatever we want and expect to be forgiven. We were once lost. We were found, and any real Christian knows that there is a right way to live. We strive to live a good, moral, spiritual life. We read the Bible to learn the way to live. There are some hypocrites, I will not argue that. But that is also why there are only so many people who will enter the gates of Heaven. Do not judge me. I will pray for you.

the forgiveness you speak of in your first sentence does not pertain to the rest of your question.

the forgiveness Christians believe in is that we are forgiven from our sins and made holy to God. since we are forgiven, we are allowed to spend eternity with Jesus in paradise.

the forgiveness you have when someone commits a crime against someone you love is a different forgiveness. Christians are asked to forgive in all circumstances, but we are not perfect and cannot always do so.

Seems you've answered your own question. But yes a true Christian would forgive all men all trespasses. No matter what they were or who they were perpetrated against. "For ye are commanded to forgive all men, let judgment alone with me saith your God, for as ye forgive, ye shall be forgiven.

Yes I do..but that does not mean I have to forget or not want justice to be done in the case of a felonious act...God forgives our souls, that does not mean we have to accept the unthinkable or treacherous acts of someone deranged,God does not make us think or act, thats our own choice,he teaches us the right way to live & act..and no one is perfect, even in God's eyes.

I believe in forgiveness and I also believe you are an angry little person. Who never forgave you for you to harbor such bitterness?
