I always do a lot of shopping online. Lately it seems as though shipping prices have gone through the roof, but it takes two weeks for me to recieve the item I buy. It's really aggravating.

They expect everyone to bend over ant take it up the **** just because they put the importance of profit even over that of human life. That's corporate America for you.

I also order items online and I agree, shipping and handling charges are ridiculous, for instance, I recently ordered an on sale item for $19 and was charged $8.95 for S &H, but the item arrived in 5 days.I have never had a delivery that took 2 weeks, I`ve usually gotten my order in 5-7 days. Perhaps the Co. was out of stock or u just happen to be ordering from one particular slow shipper.

I know what you mean. I'll buy something and pay $20 in S&H, and it takes forever to show up. I know that the comany has to get it from either a wharehouse or another store, then package it, then ship it, but it drives me nuts! I spend less S&H other times, and it seems like that's when it gets to my house the quickest!

I guess the added expense is having to ship it twice, once from the location of the item to the processing center, and the second time from the center to me.

I guess it depends on where you shop. I shop at Amazon.com a lot and find that the shipping fees reflect how soon I receive my merchandise. If I go for the "free shipping" (if offered), then it takes about a week longer to arrive. If I get the 2-day shipping, it usually comes in about 3-4 days (they have to pick and pack...that accounts for the extra days). Try doing product searches on dealtime.com or pricegrabber.com for comparisons. Good Luck.
