in them that turn woman on? My wife loves to read them before we go to bed. I never actually picked one up and started reading one. All I know is that throughout our marriage of 25 years our sex life has never been boring.

The romance novel has the prelude, the chase, the leading upto, the psychological and emotional 'foreplay' that women are turned on by. This gives her the 'foreplayed' emotional state of mind to later act out on her spouse.
I actually like the foreplay part and skip over the actual sex part if it's in there. The words are actually kind of silly; 'spent member' lol
Lucky guy that allows his wife to read romance novels, he's on the receiving end. Just a tip guys!! ;)

Romance novels have sex...usually about 2 steamy love scenes and a few teasing moments trickled throughout. The best way to arouse a woman is through her emotions...when a woman reads a book, she can pretend that she's the beautiful heroine and her lover is the gorgeous guy. A really great book allows you to cheat without really cheating. You get to fall in "love" with a fictional character, but share your sexuality with your significant other.

Greenback:

You say your love life has never been boring, but I would like you to aks your wife her opinion, and give her total freedom to express what she might. As an outside observer, I would say that your wife is very hungry for romance. Often we men forget that our wives are precious, imagnative creatures that often hunger for adventure. We can be powerful, energetic, inventive lovemakers and still fail to hit the mark because we did not connect with our woman's heart.

In her heart lies all her dreams, since early childhood. That's where Prince Charming lives, that's where she keeps the detailed plans for her castle, and each species of flower in her magnificent garden. Have you been to that secret place with
her, and shared her innermost, most precious thoughts and dreams? It may be time for such an excursion.

I promise you, if you join her in her dreams and secret adventures in her mind, the romance novels will soon find themselves at the curbside, where they belong. It is our job, as men, to fulfill the fantasy lives of our women: not some pulp writer that wouldn't know her dreams from a tuna sandwich.

i also read romance novels. I really don't think that there is anything in there that you need to worry about. It is just alot of romantic stuff that probably doesn't happen all that much in real life. It's every woman's fantasy to have a man like the one's in these books that look at you as if your the only woman in the world. All i can say is run to your local bookstore and stock her up on some new books.lol. Nora Roberts is one of my favorites.

Part of it is the mystery , part is the romance . You could probably be very pleasantly surprised if you discuss it with her ! Ask if the two of you can take turns reading , you also might find out things about each other that will be beneficial .

Maybe she gets ideas from these books? I've read a few myself, and never found them that appealing. Some women like to read them because it gives them a sense of passion and adventure, whlle at the same time, still married to a wonderful guy. Beats cheaing on your spouse.

What the category suggests - romance. It is a wonderful fantasy world where romance always wins over all the problems in a relationship.
