I need to be able to check email in a google hosted account. I have microsoft office for mac. I would like to sync up with entourage and edit word and excel documents as well as browse the web and do the whole appointment/task thing. I've been going back and forth between getting a palm Treo 700P or the t-mobile MDA (mainly because I already have tmobile and would need to switch providers and pay a $150 cancellation fee). I have iBook with OS X 10.3.9

If you are set in what tasks you need to perform and not planning to install additional programs either PPC or Palm would do.

But a PPC doesn't integrate well out-of-box with non-Windows so I pick Palm Treo 700p . And Palm programs are easier to get in a Mac opennable download but PPC often runs into .exe or .msi Windows-only files and assorted PC-end user problems.

But $150 cancellation sounds deep, you might choose to stick out with T-Mobile to avoid that fee.

for the Palm Web OS you write in apps with AJAX that's transferable to internet progress jobs, but it surely does not appear like Palm is making a lot headway. Android helps Java and it kind of feels like there shall be plenty of jobs for Android builders.
