I hope they are selling "American League Wild Card" shirts in Detroit, because that's about all they are going to amount to in the playoffs. Let us not forget that the Yankees own the Tigers with a 5-2 record against them this year. The Yanks have put up 38 runs on the Tigers to their 23. Better luck next time fellas.

Whether or not you like the N.Y.Yankees, one thing is for certain. George Steinbrenner puts his money where his mouth is. Steinbrenner enjoys winning and shows it and he doesn't disappoint the fans.
Their are many teams out there that could beat the Yankees and be a dynasty. The only problem is, the owner of that team is not willing to spend the big bucks to get a World Series Championship.
There's only one way to win...spend the bucks that are necessary to win. Otherwise, it's all lip service.
Can the N.Y. Yankees beat the Detroit Tigers and go on to the World Series?... As a New Yorker, I have no complaints about George Steinbrenner or the New York Yankees.

Georgie Georgie Georgie you be attentive to who's going to win. you be attentive to who i prefer to win. Sound common? : ) 1st of all : The Tigers commencing pitching is amazing! all of us be attentive to that. as a be counted of actuality, i think of the whole team is between the main suitable ever! Leyland has labored wonders with that team and in spite of occurs interior the postseason, they could be pleased with what they have carried out. Heck, no person even predicted them to be interior the postseason, much less have a actual shot on the WS! If the Tiggs take place to take this sequence, a minimum of the Yankees might lose to a meriting team. the two way, i'm happy you're pleased with your team! unquestionably, so am I. : ) notwithstanding, being a Yankee fan, i'm not allowed to assert the Tigers could beat my Yankees, yet i'm happy you reported it because of the fact it may ok take place. Now for the hurtin': ok, here is going, and remember, you asked for it pal! With NYY's starters, closer (Sandman), and the whole lineup they have have been given, i think of they're unquestionably the main suitable team EVER! I won't provide you hives with the help of naming all of the stunning gamers on the Yankees, yet enable's only say the postseason roster is an all-huge call lineup like we have not considered in a collectively as! and that they are going to tutor it this week. i'm sorry it should be the Tigers, notwithstanding that's greater advantageous to get the toughest team out of ways first. Now then lower back : bypass YANKEES!!!!!!!!!! you're happening, Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope the Tigers can do it. They are a heavy underdog. Scott Miller of CBS radio on Monday night said the Yankees could almost sweep the Tigers in two games. The Tigers did beat the Yankees twice this year, so anything is possible.

Well you know, you give every person who disagrees with you a thumbs down. I've watched you doing this. I never reported you, YET. I played in Tiger Stadium so I think I have a pretty good response to your question. I hope for all of Detroit that they have a great finish, but I think 2007 will be their year. Now why don't you get off your high horse and act like a true baseball fan and quit putting down other peoples teams. Everyone has their favorite and you may forget your team was a laughing stock for years. Mickey, Gates, Willie, Dick, Bill, and Al would be ashamed of you.

Ok first, I'm not a Tiger fan. With that said I HATE the Yankees. With a passion.
But, I gotta keep it real. They have about a 95% chance of sweeping you guys.
I am pulling for the Tigers to pull off an incredible upset, but I would be surprised if they could even steal one game.

Honestly I just don't see it. Yankees have too much fire power. Granted the pitching has been better but that Bomber lineup would scare the hell out of anyone. Like I've been saying, a five game series does even the playing field alittle so we'll just have to see what happens. Man, ain't this the best time of year?!?!?!

Yes, if the Detroit starting pitchers can maintain their poise, overcome their lack of playoff experience, and keep the tough Yankee lineup off balance.
The Detroit hitter also need to take advantage of the Yankees' weak starting pitching. Then, they won't have to face Riviera.

No, especially after being swept by the ROYALS of all teams. They should be the ones playing the A's.
I learned a long time ago to not have much faith in a Michigan sports team, I'm not going to start now.
