Dont know the oldest age but the state I live in 65 and older are offered free college classes.

A man in his 80's.
In a Speech Communication class, he was so nervous to give one that his heart starting giving him problems and the TA had to call EMS for assistance! True story. But talk about an excuse for getting out of the assignment...

One of my students a couple years ago was 63 years old. He was the only one who attended all classes, and did all his homework, had wonderful rapport with everyone, and added so much to the course :) I wish more people like him would attend college - to show how it should be done!

My friend Minnie started working on her Bachelors degree in Education when she was in her late 50s. She succeeded and we celebrated together. She taught on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. What an inspiration she is.
