I LOVE the thought of a marvel game online...it is so AWESOME!!!!!!

BUT...I have to admit...I ABSOLUTELY HATED..if hated is a strong enough word...City of Hereos...I thought the game sucked *** to be honest. everyone had the same powers...lag was horrible...you ran around doing basically the same pointless quests over and over...to gain the same power as everyone else had or could have...just a horrible game that lost it's interest shortly after making a character.

I think they should have it to where you make your character and you randomly get generated a power...to limit everyone having the same power...then you can increase the power you have by gaining levels. Plus I don't think you should have "quests"...since when do super heroes go on typical "quests"...I think it should be a free enviroment...with underlying criminals that you have to do some investingating to find out whats going on and be at the right place for that "tanker shipment" at the right time...not get a call from the cops every five minutes saying "hey...porkman...your next quest is to go take down 5 gang members"...(which is not only the same as the last quest but difficult to beat even!!!...not sure how the average gang member can kill someone shooting lightning out of their body but hey whatever I guess...this is the sity of heroes..where everyone is the same! and even regular thugs are difficult to kill with your super powers!

Sorry for the tangent but I HATE city of heroes!! dumbest game ever.

Well it certainly seems to be good news for the Marvel game. City of Heroes is very well done by a team of people who were obviously not only very good designers, but comic fans as well. On the other hand, the linking of this game to Vista and 360 exclusivley causes some concern. Historicaly it takes at least a year for any new MS OS to be stable enough for the regular user. Problems with the OS could spill over to the game, they also might not, to soon to tell. 360 functionality argues against some of the strengths of CoH, primarily the robust chat system. Beyond that, who knows? We can't even get confirmation of whether or not players can create their own characters yet. If it works, it could be the Next Big Thing and Cryptic is probably the company most likely to pull it off. Of course, it may also be the next SWG. My biggest concern is the future of CoH. If MUO turns out amazing, i won't care if CoH goes down the tubes (much anyway), but if it flops and takes CoH with it, that would be quite another matter.
