because we are raised like that.
women are thought that they should strive for beauty and that they should mimic.
men are told to be as manly as they can be and you will never hear them say they want to look like another guy.
thats my theory

This is a classic case of how women don't understand men.
We're not insecure about it, and we aren't worried if you'll think us any more or less of a man.
We very simply don't CARE what another guy looks like. Really. It's just that simple. I have no idea if another guy is attractive to women or repulsive to women (other than obvious things like not bathing). And I have no desire to think about it, because I don't care.
:)

Never met a man that could do that. Women do it a lot, no big deal. I think they are just so worried about seeming to be attracted to that man that they are commenting on.

That subject came up with a bunch of friends. And basically, we came to the conclusion that for a straight male, a guy is either one of two things. Normal or ugly. There is no 1 to 10 scale.

Heh... I love my Boyfriend (Brian)! He'll only rate a guy if I beg him to, but he's NOT afraid to say what he thinks... he does judge harshly though, Lol... but he's a MAN! He loves when I rate woman, in which I really don't mind at all cuz I know where I stand in his world! :D ...

Yeah, we don't care. The highest compliment I think I gave another guy is "He looks ah-ight." That's high praise from one guy to another.
Any more than that, and to hell with you, the two guys would be together.
