65,000 a year is AMAZING without a college degree! you should be proud of yourself. you should think about buying a house or condo or something tho, renting is just money in someone else's pocket. as long as you're happy don't worry about being 'on track'

You are right on time. The difficulty in life is in trying to compare your pace to everyone elses, without enough information to make such judgements. However you seem to be a person who is industrious, creative, and knows how to do business and ask good questions.. That level of professional curiousity is the key to discovering a satisfaction with how much you have accomplished within the year, and to set your dreams on a vision for the future that inspires you to stay on track with your own perfect course!

Sounds like you have a good job. If you live New York you don't need to drive with all of the public transprotion. I would try and keep the same job but move to a small city with Like KC, Atl, Stl, or Denver.

Sounds pretty good to me....but you could do even better in a city with lower cost of living, but first learn to drive because other cities may not have the public transportation as large as NYC.

It's not what you make - it's what you keep.

That's why I moved outta NYC in 1991 and headed for sunnier (and cheaper) climes. I make terrible money with my "real job" (cop) but I'm doing it for the insurance and retirement while I am starting a few businesses...but I'm living in a nice, big house with land, have a vehicle that I love and invest load of green instead of wasting it on crap (don't even have cable TV or DSL).

Try to hang on to your $$$ and get a good interest on your savings...screw keeping up with the Joneses...pay yourself first...

Are you happy with where you are? If not then do something about it.

I would think you are not happy with where you are because you are asking this question.

Keep the job and save money. Get some sort of education.

you sound like you are doing fine to me, think about putting some money into a condo instead of renting, unless you just arent ready.

you were doing good until you mentioned queens. consider a lower standard of living, like atlanta.
