I had a dream that I was under a building or house. The ceiling was at least 6 to 8 feet high. There were a lot of dirt mounds around. One stood out to me very much. The mound was at least 6 feet high and there was a giant hole at the top. I looked around and then looked back to the hole. When I turned around to the hole, I saw a giant light brown copperish color snake. It kinda looked like a copperhead mixed with a corba. As I looked closer, the snake was lifting up one of my friends into his mouth. I could see an almost sad face on my friend. The thing is, my friend has been dead for almost 4 years. I watched as the snake just swallowed him whole. The the snake hissed at me and went down the hole. I heard people shouting at me to get the snake or kill the snake. I suddenly found myself with a small bazooka type or an RPG type weapon. I loaded the weapon with small rocket like projectiles. I then jumped up and started swinging around the basement by my arms with the weapon in my hand. I fired off a shot at the snake and it exploded at the hole. I saw the snake come up one more time and then it went back in the hole again. I had a sense of terror, but a sense of determination to kill the snake. I was swinging around like crazy trying to kill it, but just as I was about to fire off another shot, I woke up in my bed. I tried to go back to sleep to finish the dream, but I couldn’t do it. I felt helpless in saving my friend. Even though he is gone, I still wanted to save him. What does this mean?

the meaning behind of dreaming of a snake-The snake is your emotional, mental and sexual energy that can express pleasure or pain, sexual drive ideas, depressed feelings, happiness, anger,or movement. The snake is the instinctive flow of life.If the snake bites you, this describes how your own emotional or sexual energy has been turned back upon you in a negative way through anxiety, perhaps through a way of life that depresses you or makes you feel angry and resentful. The snake is your own potential.Do not be afraid.Learn from it,for the snake is an ancient wise part of you.Find out how you are out of harmony with it/yourself.The colour of the snake tells you in what way your potential energy is expressing.Green might be that you are finding healing or growth.Red can be passion or anger.I hope I was of some help.I am really sorry that you have lost such a good friend.it sounds like you 2 were very close.

Holy Crap!!!!! I been interpreting people dreams here for a while and i never heard anything like this before.
Ok. Snakes are bad. Snakes are very bad.
I do not know what your friend being devoured by it means though.
You have trouble alot of trouble to come.
Your dead friend could be representative of something spiritual.
So i am thinking spiritual warfare. Not normal trouble.
You will have control of it cause you shot the snake it went down but came back up which signifies a fight or stuggle.
Pray and ask for the true meaning of the dream to be revealed.
Pray and ask God to walk with you at all times. I cannot give you a detailed meaning i am sorry. This is all i got.

The Snake represents Death and the Mounds of dirt The Grave. The People standing around represents other living people who are also afraid of Death. Your attempt to kill the snake is the overwhelming urge of all mankind to stop Death and our desire for eternal life. The Fact that you woke up before you could Kill the snake is, in essence, The notion that we alone cannot defeat death. Life and Death are not in the Purview of Man. In this dream state you can work out the residual feelings of loss for your friend that died and coming to terms with your own sense of Mortality.

I'm not an expert, but my mom studies occult related things, and she always said a snake(s) represent an enemy, someone close to you that will hurt you, or has ill will. I read in one dream dictionary that snakes in dreams represent repressed sexual feelings or whatever. In yours though it seems you have unresolved feelings about your friends death, which is understandable, maybe you still want to make it right somehow subconciously. Or it could be a warning that someone close to you that was close to your friend is dangerous to you as well. Sorry hope this helps and doesn't confuse you more.

It means that control is just an illusion, that no one really can control what happens to them.
