Yes. Within the last 10,000 years we have lost about half our sense of smell. Our visual analysis continues to get more rand more sophisticated, though.

So evolution is favoring sight and moving away from smell as far as sharpening our senses.

Evolution continues to refine a species until it dies out. Roughly, the most likely sign a species is near it's end? An over-specialized diet (that's what got to the ivory-billed woodpecker and many other species).

Theres some debate over this. Evolution is propelled by neccesity...We humans are specilized far too much. Everything we need we can create, theres no reason to evolve. When we need to swim, we jump on a boat. When we need to eat, we go to the store.

Our bodies have no need to evolve, thus we might just get...Shorter.

evolution never stops, so yes. However, we will soon surpass biological evolution, as our technology will get to the point where we can "improve" the human brain on our own.

I just spent some time in the "politics" forum - and all I can say is, " I sure hope so."
