Does all that talk about values and patriotism really help America, like does it create a job?

Have you read the book "Take This Job And Ship It!?" It is written by Senator Byron L. Dorgan of North Dakota. The book goes after our World Trade proceedures and how the US is losing its Middle Class as a result of the growth in National Debt and the loss of American born Cooporations moving to tax shelter land and shipping American jobs over seas to China and India for example.

No, man I have not read it. But you are right. The talk of values and patriotism only creates it's own turmoil by inducing seggration of the people of the country who has different beliefs and values which in turns introduces us to ethnocentricism, and therefore causing hatred and racism. And yes also that it separates the rich from the poor where the rich got richer and the poor got poorer. Yet the government is saying that lots of jobs are being created. No one person should go hungry now because we have total control of the situations. Yet, you still see people all over the country suffering, especially, from natural disasters. What are we and our government have to say about this, I wonder?

You are right on the money. True Patriots want to preserve America's wealth at home. America has been steamrolled and tricked by the few wealthy who shipped America's value overseas so that they could access greater profits. But the scheme harmed Americans through fewer jobs and resources. Republicans tried to prepare us by calling it a New World Order, but it is a disaster at home.

Patriotism means bringing the original system back, which will be difficult but necessary. The first action should be to take the government back from the greedy, meany Neoconservatives, dispose of the phony voting machines and have a true grassroots election NOT of perverts, but of Clean, Honest Americans with leadership skills. Let's help our fellow Americans heal from being BRAINWASHED. Continue to speak up about this-- you're on the right track.

No, it doesn't create any jobs.
It is, in fact misdirection by politicians wishing to be elected or re-elected -- "look over here at this patriotism stuff! Ignore the economy and the other stupid things I've done! I've got family values!"

Do you really want your government to decide what values you should have anyway? I don't...

talking about patriotism doesn't help but maybe acting patriotically would keep some jobs in America for Americans.
