Probably not. You can regulate you're cycle better with birth control. It definitely won't effect your breast growth. That's just ignorant. If any thing, as long as you're a normal healthy 16 year old you should be OK. If you're real worried, ask your doctor. I had irregular periods up until about 2 years ago, and I'm 26 years old. It's not all too uncommon. By the way, I'm also a mom. It didn't effect me getting pregnant at all. At one point I was on the depo shot and had my cycle for 9 months, yes that's 9 months straight. That's why I don't use birth control any more. But the pill does help. Some women are just off.

Your irregular period is not affecting either your breast development nor your health. Don't worry about your breasts. They will be what they willl be. There's always augmentation later if you so choose or if you decide to have child one day, the enhanced growth may remain for life.

If your menstrual irregularity disturbs you, then you may wish to speak to your OB/Gyn about a very low estrogen birth control formula. I personally don't feel comfortable recommending hormone contraception to a 16 year old if dysmenorrhea with severe cramping isn't present. I don't think that at 16 you need more hormones in your system but it won't do any harm to get information and find out what your doctor has to say.

well if you skip periods like that its usually a sign that your body is not able to have a baby. this can bec aused by alot of stress, or a sickness that your body detects, and says its not a good time for a baby. but it dosent have much to do with breast size i wouldent think, unless you have some sort of hormone problem. and at sixteen your probably done with puberty and done growing. techinacaly you never stop growing but after puberty the rate of growing decreses dramatically.

hope i helped.

You should call your gynecologist and not get a "diagnosis" from people on Yahoo Answers.
