I have a problem in my internet connection. When i start my net it always start to send mail. What is this?

I have installed northen anti virus in my computer. When i start my computer northen anti virus always start to show scanning outgoing messages. After some time so many scanning windows opened on the screen. Is there a virus in my computer? Anyone has a solution for this problem, plese give me the solution earlier.
