Doesn't it seem strange that one occurs, the media publizes the heck of it, and several others? One of the last ones that occured in Cazenovia, WI is a town that my father is from, he and his brothers and I had all attended Weston. Shocking.

It could be, because kids like attention, and if they think it's the only way to get anyones attention I think it is partly because of them. Kid that are bulled and feel that no one cares would do just about anything to get someone to just notice them.

No, the shooters aree. the media will report this because it's news. But psycho shooters just seem to come out at the same time. Maybe they see the news and get moving but most are just crazy. Most crazy people don't watch TV. They are introverted into their little distorted paranoid world.
Don't think because you watch TV they do. Most paranoids don't even understand what they see the same way you do. They are so far out there that you would be stunned by their lack of logic.
They ar chemically imbalanced and not playing with a full deck.

I don't think the media is to blame since it would be ridiculous to expect people to NOT talk about school shootings, even if the media tried to keep it quiet.
It is true that the reporting of one shooting might give another person the spark to commit a crime but a person who is ready to do something like that might be setoff by any number of things.

Basically people may learn about other crimes from the Media but the media doesn't force them to do it.

LOL this is complicated to have faith I survived extreme college and that i replaced into an "A" pupil. college is have been females have been and have been I performed soccer so I had a blast. It did no longer harm that by using the time i began extreme college my Dad had give up ingesting (He replaced into between the worst alcoholics I particularly have ever considered) . mom replaced into nonetheless a soreness yet Dad and that i grew to become superb buddies, So i assume my view of my extreme college years is a sprint biased. the college Dances have been vast activities in a small city that had one movie tutor with only 1 show, no speedy nutrients eating places and no department shops. I do agree with you. There is a problem there with overdoing reports on those shootings. We had one recently in Montreal too, but this one of the little girls in Pennsylvania is just horrific. More and more happen. There are evil people everywhere. The media are doing their job, but I think the way it is done leads to more of the same and even worse!

No, you can't blame the media for shootings anymore that you can blame rap music. People are in control of themselves. They chose wether they want to kill people or not. The media is just a source of information, nothing more. We are sentient beings capable of making our own choices. We must be held accountable for them as well.

Think of it this way.
Ever since Columbine, any school shooting is rated based on that one.
At my school, we used to call this one kid Columbine because he was the type that seemed he would do something.
Anytime a school shooting is publicized on TV, they always blame music, video games, and movies.
They should blame the media for publicizing it so much that other people watch it and think, 'That's what I should do, too.'

It's very sickening.

To some extent. But, I think the public really deserves and has the right and need to know about things like, for example, Columbine. So, what can you do? As long as there's a media, how could they not report something like that?

I don't think it's the media as much as it is the person. I can play a violent videogame, watch a violent movie, hear about violent crimes on the radio without being influenced to commit an act of violence.
