You throw up whatever you've eaten recently. You could be bringing up a little bit of bile. Bile is generally greenish but in small concentrations it looks yellow. Bile is not stomach acid. Bile is present in the duodenum which is the next bit after the stomach which is why you usually don't see it unless you vomit repeatedly.

aw. i'm sorry that you are throwing up. I could let you in on a secret to not throwing up. its kinda silly but it 100% works. If you smile (a cheesy smile) that shows your top and lower teeth the muscles that make you smile like you are weird but the reflexes from throwing up. I learned that from my doctor when I was little. Also it could be something that your stomach didn't like, so you threw up. I hope you get better

Were you drinking heavily?
I used to throw up bile after binge drinking in college. (that was a loooong time ago).
Either that or you're suffering from some kind of acid reflux.

That is your stomachs acid (Bile), sometimes your body needs to get rid of that to start over again, Plus it makes you feel better afterwards to get that out of there sometimes.

that's just bile, you probably ate too close to going to bed and had a little acid reflux.
