Sure! Why not? I look at it this way; inevitably some collection of events ARE GOING to happen. A certain percentage will be great, or good, or so-so, or poor, or terrible. Alot of what determines ones "destiny"- is ones perception of those events, & how one deals with them. If you "believe" your destiny will be positive- then you will naturally try to find the good that comes out of even the WORST of events- therefore reducing the negative impact of them. Your destiny then becomes a self-fullfilling prophacy- you'll see the glass as being "half full"- and the good things that WILL happen- will seem all the more miraculous as a result!!!

No, I believe that things are random and the decisions we make influence what we will become. Do I believe good things will happen in my future? Yes. But on the same token, bad things will happen. That's life. I don't use destiny to reason why I should/will win the lotto, or that something's going to somehow rescue me. I'm a realist.

I don't like the concept of destiny. It makes sins or wrong doings done unto you or what you done not a fault. But a duty.

for example batman his parents were killed by criminals. He worked hard to developed the intellect, money, skills to become a defender of the weak and take revenge. In the concept of destiny the criminals were destined to kill his parents so he will become batman. Which means the criminals have no sin did nothing wrong just doing their part so Bruce Wayne can fulfill his destiny. That's the part of the concept of destiny that I don't like.

And I don't believe something good will happen to me in the future.

I do believe that good things will happen in my future, but not because it's destiny - i believe in a little bit of luck, plus lots of planning and striving.

I don't believe in destiny, preordination, clairvoyance, etc.
There is an awful lot that will happen to me and around me over which I have no control -- the ecomony of the nation, car accidents, the weather, etc. All any of us can do is do the best we can with the things we CAN control, and then deal with the bad things as they come up (and they will). You can to a great extent control your own destiny, but never completely. MAKE good things happen as much as possible!

What we call destiny is a vast karmic circuit functioning from our time of birth. The power of the circuit depends upon the capacity of the generator. Planetary positions at birth and the ascending sign at the time of birth etc are some of the factors which tell us
the course of life of an individual. Because it is Karmic (generated out of his own deeds of the past) it is not possible to change the broad pattern. But once you know the course ahead you can utilize your intelligence to find a solution which is convenient to you and will not violate the destiny.
To illustrate a point
some people will have in their horoscope what is known as 'SAKATA YOGA'. This yoga produces the effect of shifting person from place to place and does not allow him to settle down permanently at one place. It will be best for such person to take up the job of a traveling representative (at lower level)
or a intercontinental roaming journalist / executives holding business meetings etc etc keeping his family at one place where he can land easily at any time.
As far as good things are concerned they have to happen in every ones life at the appropriate periods of life which can again be determined by the birth horoscope.
Of course there are some unfortunate people who can seldom see any good things happening in their life which is again Karmic

You asked two completely different questions. Maybe my destiny is not to have good things happen in my future. And if I think good things will, I am kidding myself, if I belief in destiny.

Which I don't! I know all good things will happen in my future!

If destiny is god's will then would it still be god's will if i do something completely out of the blue?? Would it still be destiny then? If so then destiny is basically anything that can/will happen except it has a "special" name...

DESTINY IS IMPOSSIBLE!!

If "destiny" is "God's will," then yes.

Howevr, I also believe that "bad" things will also happen to me, although God will work them for good in the lives of those who trust Him.
