Uploading an image into a web page?

How can I allow visitors to my site to upload an image from their hard disk into my web page where it can be viewed by the visitor?

This probably requires you to use PHP or ASP, but I personally think PHP is easier to understand. Try http://us2.php.net/features.file-upload, I found it very helpful when I write uploading script.
