Has this really ever happened? It's doubtful. He can tell you he voted that way, but behind closed doors, he can vote either way. His co-workers come to him, and say, if you vote this way on this issue, I'll vote that way on your issue. Most of them lie anyway to get your vote.

Kinda strange is it not? I wonder why the legislator did that. Well let's see. Maybe he received something for voting as he did. Perhaps he thought the constituents were not capable of making a decision. Or maybe he is saving his life or his loved ones. Gosh he thought he was doing the right thing. And on , and on again.

This happens all the time. And when you ask them why they did it you get some side angle side answer that doesn't make sense.

There should be a law that when a legislator does that he is out on his butt in the snow. That would be one step closer to democracy. Which by the way we don't have. Anyone want to bet some serious money that we do have a democracy? I will take all bets.

Why have a representative then? Everybody could just vote at the meeting.

It's important to represent your constituents, but it's more important to vote according to your conscience, if the two conflict.

This is a political ploy to do photo opportunities of community involvement. Not one thing has been changed because of the town hall meetings....They tell you the problem, and you feel good because they seem to have your interest at heart....hahaha.
