Since it equals 0, you only have to run this question once...

2x + 10 = 0
2x = -10
x = -5

(Most questions, you have to run it twice for positive and negative.)

2x = -10
x = -5

Plug back into equation

| 2(-5) + 10 | =0
| -10 + 10 | = 0
| 0 | = 0 which is true
