the number I called told me to call my doctor to get my results does anyone know is this normal? Should I be concerned. The number is a placed called AmeriPath. Thanks!

Yes they are starting to do this all the time now, you call this number, it is to a lab and they record your results on the recording. I do it at my Dr's office. The bigger Cities are doing it already. It is nice so you don't have to actually call a person to be put on hold. You get your results in like 2 mins.

It's probably ok. Your doc should be the one giving you the results anyways and I'm sure the other place doesn't want to get into legal trouble releasing patient information over the phone.

I have never heard of them doing this before. I would call your doctor tomorrow. Don't worry about it until you find out if there's anything to worry about.
