the virus protection i have is about to run out and I was wondering if there was a virus protection available for free that would protect my computer from unwanted viruses. I am new to all this and would apprecitate some feedback. Thanks!

get avg free edition, everyone uses it, almost same as professional edition. If you want a crack version or norton, download it from limewire

There are several great free virus software for PCs, one of which is AVG Free Advisor. It is a widely used virus program that is very well trusted. Yahoo! also makes a Yahoo Anitvirus scan that comes with the Yahoo! Toolbar. It detects potentially harmful cookies and tracking devices. It would be a good idea to use this even if you have a good working virus software because Yahoo! Antivirus scans viruses that other programs might not pick up.

After some years of using loose A/V and anti malware I some months in the past put in a Norton trial cyber web protection 2011on my daughters and granddaughters desktops.I continually felt Norton replaced right into a brilliant source hog however the main cutting-edge version replaced into vastly more desirable. plenty so as that once 3 months I particularly have put in it on my laptop which seems notably greater responsive. My selection now until some thing better comes alongside.

AVG Anti-virus is an extremely popular free virus protection program. It's been downloaded from download.com over 10 million times since june this year. It's really easy to set up and works great.

The most effective free antivirus is Avast at www.avast.com. AVG is decent and uses less system resources, but isn't as effective at preventing viruses. Don't waste your money on Norton or McAfee.

The freeware antivirus available over the net are extremely satisfactory for personal use and they are loads better than market leader Norton. Here are some of them. Download any one you like. More than one antivirus on a single system is not recommended.

with genuine Windows, you can download the windows defender...there are other programs you might find at download.com but Windows Defender is probably the best because its free and its from microsoft so you can trust it.
