I've listened to a song in french and spanish about that Juanita Banana, but who's her? Did she really exist?

I'm sure it's Juanita, not Chiquita.

It was a banana character in Chiquitta commercials probably back in the 60s or earlier. It went something like, "I'm Chiquitta banana and I'm here to say, Banana give you energy for work and for play,"

are you sure you don't mean chiquita banana. if so thats just a brand of bananas and for comercials it was this women who wore fruit in her hat and sang silly verses similar to this: my name is chiquita banana and i'm here to say, put some rubber in your blubber and you'll dance away.
