YES...and if you're lucky it goes away about 1/2 way through...unless you're unlucky and you have it all the way through! Stay in bed until you can have some crackers or toast and a little liquid (not coffee!). If you are vomiting throughout the day, you can become dehydrated. Your OB-Gyne should be notified and you may need some IV fluids to perk you back up. Rest when you can...and sip on plenty of liquids (sports drinks help with the electrolyte imbalance). Good luck!

I've been a nurse in OB for 17 years. The increase of the hormone HCG (the pregnancy hormone) is what is resposible for the nausea. some woman can't handle this increase and it effects their stomachs. I had it off and on throughout my first pregnancy. I had to figure out whether it was from eating or from not eating. Try keeping a few saltine crackers at your bedside and eat them before you get up. also, seperate your food from your liquids.

You can get morning sickness at anytime during your pregnancy for various lengths of time. Some women don't get it at all and some women get it the whole time.

ALL WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT.
